Matagorda Harbor

The Port of Bay City Authority, originally called Matagorda County Navigation District #2, was established in 1960 for the purpose of facilitating waterborne commerce on the lower Colorado River. Over the years the Port Authority has evolved to meet the needs of navigation and drainage in the area.
